Monday's New Moon ushers in a New Year and a New Era!! 2025 will be a year of great shifts with major endings and major new beginnings. It is a tremendous amount of energy for us all to manage. SELF-CARE IS KEY!! Over the next month the Stars are encouraging us to work through unfinished business, clearing old patterns, beliefs and wounds. Be sure the Nurture yourself through the process. We are all balancing Strength with Gentleness right now.

NEW MOON in CAPRICORN: Dec. 30th
Each month, the Universe gifts us with a New Moon and the Promise of New Beginnings. A New Moon pulls us Inward, calls us to Reflect and Plant New Seeds. Once a year we get a Capricorn New Moon~ it is known as "The Planner" Moon. Capricorn is the Archetype of Goals, Responsibility, Discipline and Achievement. With a Capricorn New Moon, it is hard to contain our desire to set Intentions/goals and set a plan in motion to reach those goals. 

 

The Spiritual Lesson of Capricorn is in finding our Integrity~
While Striving to Reach our Optimal Potential.

 

As you  reflect and review this last year, acknowledge yourself for your endurance, your discipline and your Integrous Choices.  Once you complete that, take a look at the choices you made based on fear of rejection, fear of failure, desire for status and your desire for validation.

Mars Retrograde: Dec. 6th, 2024 - Feb. 23, 2025
Mars Opposite Pluto: Nov. 2-3/24, Jan. 2-3/25 & April 26/25

This New Moon has a kick to it as the Planets Mars and Pluto will be in close opposition all week (EXACT Jan. 2-3) but we are feeling its intensity Dec. 28 - Jan. 10. This transit happens every 2 1/2 years, not that often. However, because of the Mars Retrograde Cycle (Dec. 6 - Feb. 23), we will get this opposition 3 times! BIG KARMIC SHIFTS ARE INVITED FOR US ALL!! Pluto holds our deepest Soul Desires. Pluto is the Planet of TRANSFORMATION, Change and Evolution. Mars moves us into action, it gives us willpower, it gives us Courage to step towards our Dreams.

When these 2 Planets are in opposition old wounds, trauma, emotional blocks, deeply buried anger and unconscious patterns are triggered to the surface. This week you may be feeling less patient than normal; 

• Over-Reacting!

• Impatient

• Impulsiveness

• Irritability

• Accidents

• Violence

Mars feeds on stress adding fuel to any fires. We will all benefit this week by paying extra attention to managing stress;

• Balance Movement with Rest! Listen to your body! 

• Spend time in Nature~ It is cleansing and balancing.

• Find time in silence; Prayer, Meditation, Journaling

• Breath-work!

• Talk therapy, seek council!! This is a super potent time to take leaps in your personal growth work.

• Self-care, take a bath, schedule body-work if possible.

• Seek out time with POSITIVE friends.

The Heart of this transit is about Transformation, working in layers. If I am being honest, a Mars-Pluto opposition is not an easy aspect, so we anticipate more of a Shadow expression in this first 2 aspects. This 2nd transit is still more the breaking down part.  It can unleash anger and fear at the core of our egos. This can look like; resistance to change, fighting, violence, gripping to control, distrust, paranoid, obsessive, power hungry, darkness and destruction. Mars gives us the Courage to look at the parts of ourselves we kept in the Shadows, this transit along with the Mars Retrograde Cycle truly supports us in Releasing and letting go of this heavy emotional weight. 

Lunar Nodes in Pisces-Virgo; Jan 11, 2025 - July 26, 2026
(Lunar Nodes in Aries-Libra; July 17, 2023 – Jan 11, 2025)

The Lunar Axis determines where the Eclipses will take place. Spiritually, they point to the direction we are going. The North Lunar Node takes 19 years to complete a Cycle.  The last time the North Node was in Pisces was June 23, 2006 - Dec. 18, 2008.  What themes were present for you back then?

For the last 18 months, the Lunar Nodes have been in Aries-Libra, collectively inviting us all to move towards Courage, Independence and Graceful Leadership. We have been moving away from (releasing) unhealthy boundaries, codependency, people pleasing bullying, inequality and imbalance.

With the North Lunar Nodes moving into the Pisces-Virgo Axis we are collectively invited to move away from the illusion of control, our need to suffer and sacrifice and victimhood. We are moving towards Unconditional Love, Compassion, Trust and Spiritual Surrender.

Lots of shifts and changes coming up in the year ahead! Think about any shifts you would like to make in 2025. It is not important to know WHAT your Optimal Potential or "Next Level" is. Right now is a Potent time to Reflect on what is NOT working, and what has been holding you back (fear, attachment, stuck in the past). Be open to Releasing. Seek support and Guidance.
